Riddle Me Mail - August Art Panel
When I first thought about illustrating a rooster, I really had no idea they were so colorful.
Clearly, I haven't had much experience on a farm. There are chickens in my backyard. Well, in the neighbor's yard, across my backyard.
Last year, they introduced new chicks. Apparently, it's not all that easy to identify the sex of chicks, and sure enough, there was one male mixed in. And it was clear. As the flock grew, he started his early morning ritual.
City regulations restrict backyard coops to hens, so when the little guy's cock-a-doodle-doo was loud enough to wake the neighborhood, he was sent to a farm.
Fair winds ... coming from the east.
